How long do gas mask filters last?
Sealed filters have a shelf life printed on the packaging when kept in their original sealed wrapping. Once opened and in use, filter service life depends on the concentration of contaminants, your breathing rate, and humidity. Replace a filter when breathing resistance increases, when you detect any taste or smell of the contaminant, or as directed in the filter manual.

What's the difference between a full face gas mask and a half mask respirator?
A half mask covers only your nose and mouth and requires separate eye protection. A full face gas mask like the TinBreather also shields your eyes and face, giving you fuller protection and a better seal — the preferred choice for survival, prepping, and serious chemical or particulate hazards.

Store the clean, dry mask in a sealed bag or its original container, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and chemicals. Keep filters sealed in their original packaging until you need them to preserve their shelf life.

Important safety information

This respirator is Personal Protective Equipment and does not supply oxygen. Use only in well-ventilated environments where the oxygen concentration is at least 19.5%. Do not use in confined or oxygen-deficient spaces (tanks, tunnels, silos, sewers), in explosive atmospheres, or against carbon monoxide or other contaminants the fitted filter is not rated for. The included A2P3 filter does not protect against inorganic gases such as carbon monoxide. No air-purifying respirator protects against ionizing radiation. Always read the mask and filter manuals, perform a seal check before each use, and follow all warnings and limitations. Use only by trained, competent users. Failure to follow instructions can result in serious injury.

For health and safety reasons, gas masks must be returned unused and in their original, undamaged packaging. Every returned gas mask is inspected before a refund or exchange is issued; masks that show signs of use cannot be accepted.

Every TinBreather full face gas mask is backed by a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery. If your mask develops a defect under normal use within this period, reach out through our Contact Us page and we’ll repair or replace it. The warranty does not cover normal wear of consumable filters, accidental damage, or misuse.
