Which torch or lighter should I choose?

Butane torch or plasma lighter?
A butane torch gives you a real flame for campfires, candles, grills and tinder, and it refills in seconds from a standard butane can. A plasma lighter uses an electric arc instead of fuel, so there is no butane to carry and nothing for the wind to blow out, and it recharges over USB-C. Many people keep one of each in a survival kit. Adults only: keep torches and lighters away from children and let the head cool before storing.
